Ahmedabad – Vadodara – Kevadiya
Day 1AhmedabadArrival
Arrive in Ahmedabad and check in at the hotel. After freshening up, visit Gandhi Ashram and Adalaj Stepwell. In the evening, explore the local market, full of kite-string reels (firki), kites of every shape and size, and the chatter of vendors and shoppers. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.
Day 2Ahmedabad
After breakfast, head to the International Kite Festival at the Sabarmati Riverfront. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Gujarati dinner. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.
Day 3Kevadiya
After breakfast, drive to Vadodara to visit Laxmi Vilas Palace and the golden statue of Lord Shiva at Sursagar Lake. Continue to Kevadiya and check in at the Tent City or hotel. After freshening up, visit Sardar Sarovar Dam, the Valley of Flowers and the Statue of Unity viewing gallery, followed by the evening projection mapping show. Overnight stay in Kevadiya.
Day 4Kevadiya
After breakfast, go on the jungle safari and walk the Khalwani to Zarwani eco-tourism trail, then witness the Narmada Aarti late in the evening. Overnight stay in Kevadiya.
Day 5VadodaraDeparture
After breakfast, check out and visit Garudeshwar Temple and Poicha Neelkanth Dham, then transfer to Vadodara or Ahmedabad airport for your onward journey.
Uttarayan in Ahmedabad: the kite markets of the old city and the International Kite Festival on the Sabarmati Riverfront, followed by two nights at Kevadiya for the Statue of Unity, a jungle safari and the Narmada Aarti.
